Trefoil Guild
| Membership
in the Trefoil Guild is open to women over the
age of 30 who have been enrolled in Guiding previously
or who are willing to become a fully screened member.
Many members are active in other aspects of Guiding
and may still be Unit Guiders. Trefoil Guild members
meet together for friendship, service and to keep alive
the spirit of Guiding. All members are entitled to
wear the Trefoil Guild Pin with the appropriate adult
uniform or the pin may be worn out of uniform. |

You can also print a copy of the form and submit payment
by mail. Click

DON’T FORGET! Exemptions to the payment of the National
Membership Fee: (Annual Membership fee is $45). Trefoil Members
75 years of age and up and/or Honourary Life Members are
not required to pay the annual Membership fee. Birth dates
must be registered in iMIS to receive this exemption. To
be eligible for the 2009/10 Guiding Year you must be turning
75 years by December 31, 2009. Complete your membership renewal
and indicate your birth date on the form.
Trefoil Guild Members who are also registered as a Unit
Guider, a Trainer, a Specialty Community Member or a Provincial
level volunteer do not have to pay the annual fees. Ontario
Council will pay the National Membership fee for these Trefoil
Guild Members. Complete your membership renewal and indicate
your position on the form.
Guilds meet as often as the members wish -
some monthly, some just two or three times a year. Meetings
may be in the afternoon
or evening or on weekends.
A Trefoil Guild provides an avenue to network
with other adult members, join in sisterhood activities, participate
in service projects and provide Unit Guiders with assistance.
Members working together,
each giving time and effort as they are able, can be of
great help and support to Guiding
and the community. They can support girl member activities
by fundraising or help with other aspects of girl programming.
They may undertake community service and they always have
time for fun and social activities in the continuing fellowship
of Guiding.
As with other branches of Guiding, Trefoil
Guilds have their own distinct colour - purple. Purple sweatshirts
and Trefoil
crests are available through Girl Guide stores.
Members of Trefoil Guild continue to receive membership recognition
pins. This pin recognizes your total years as a member of
GGC, including both girl and adult years and does replace
the Long Service pin. If you are currently an adult member
and have not had your girl years added to your iMIS record,
please follow the directions to do so on National Council's
website: www.girlguides.ca
All registered Trefoil Guild members receive the Canadian
Guider.
