Volunteering with Girl Guides

Our Mission – Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada is a Movement of girls and women that challenges members in their personal development and empowers them to be responsible citizens.

Are you interested in being a role model for Ontario girls? You can contribute to the successes of tomorrow’s women by becoming a leader of today’s girls. Our Unit Guiders are the backbone of our organization – providing guidance, fun and friendship while delivering a dynamic program to girls from age 5 to adulthood.

You can share in the sisterhood of Guiding by becoming an adult Member of Girl Guides of Canada, Ontario Council. Previous experience in working with youth is not needed.

Adult volunteers are required to complete our Screening process. The screening of adult volunteers is of primary importance in ensuring a safe environment in which to conduct our programs.

If you are interested in sharing your enthusiasm for responsible citizenship and helping girls to become the best they can be, we welcome you to contact us to find out how to join Girl Guides:

Please call our toll free number, 1-800-565-8111, or email our Membership Development Coordinator at joinus@guidesontario.org.

Girl Guides has a wide range of volunteer positions available to adult women who wish to be members of the organization and share their time and talents with Guiding. Once you are a member, there are many opportunities available.
