Lones
Lones may
be the answer for you!
As a Lone you can continue in Guiding by working
long distance with a Guider. Lones earn badges, do
service projects, play games and participate in fun
activities. Lones can take part in camps, trips,
selling cookies and special events. You will receive
regular packages by e-mail and regular mail. Your
Guider will call or e-mail to chat often.
You’re
never alone when you’re a Lone!

• I am a Ranger and my mom is being transferred
to Germany. How will I complete my Chief Commissioner’s
Gold Award?
• Our Leader became ill and closed the Unit. How
can we finish our year?
• I like going to Brownies but because I do competitive
figure skating, my mom says I have to make a choice. Is
there another way?
• Since I became very ill it is difficult to attend
Guides every week. What can I do until I feel better?
• We moved to a town in Northern Ontario. I miss
my Pathfinder friends and all the fun we had. I wish I
could still be in Pathfinders.
Lones assist girls from any branch to continue the experience of fun and adventure
with Guiding. Girls join Lones for various reasons: Guiding may not be available
in their home town, their unit meets on a night they have another commitment,
or they are leaving the country and wish to remain a Girl Guide in Canada.
