An adult event to learn, share and celebrate the 100th! Provincial Annual will offer a program to challenge yourself, celebrate and connect with Guiders from across the province over the course of an unforgettable weekend.

Get pumped! At 7 p.m. on Friday, October 15 we kick off our 2010 Provincial Annual with an opening ceremony and then circulate with our sisters in Guiding to share and learn new things at quick break out sessions – lots of great ideas!

Saturday is a jam-packed day that begins with a message from our Chief Commissioner, Chris Burton and the session fun continues until 4:30!

Sunday morning will be a morning of ‘Connections’ – to our girls, to each other, to our future.

Nitty Gritty Full Conference Details
Start Date: Friday, October 15, 2010 at 7 p.m.
End Date: Sunday, October 17, 2010 at noon

Cost: $150 per person

Meals included:
Friday – late night snack/reception (no dinner at conference or enroute is provided)
Saturday – Breakfast Buffet, Lunch Buffet, AM/PM refreshment breaks, dinner banquet (‘Something to Sing About’ dinner and entertainment included)
Sunday – Breakfast Buffet and Lunch To Go

Transportation
The venue is accessible by public transit for delegates residing in the GTA. Bus routes to be established by Ontario Council once delegate selection is complete. Delegates' transporation costs are covered when taking a provided bus route. Should this option not be available, carpooling will be encouraged and mileage will be reimbursed. All transportation will be coordinated and costs approved by Ontario Council staff. If not pre-approved, the participant is responsible for her own transportation costs.

Accommodation
The cost of double occupancy accommodation is included in the full conference fee. All rooms are non-smoking. Accommodation is provided in a hotel room with two double beds. Delegates may request an accommodation partner, however we do not guarantee all requests can be facilitated.
If you choose to have a single room, you are responsible for the difference in the room rate (to be advised) for the weekend.

Uniform
Guiding attire throughout the conference is encouraged.
You should bring your GGC nametag and wear it throughout the weekend.
Saturday evening is a more upscale event so uniform pieces selected should be chosen with this in mind.

PROCESS TO APPLY

Delegate selection will be done after May 21, 2010. Those that are selected to attend will then be able to choose sessions beginning May 28.

Selection Process
For 2010, delegates will be selected based on representation of Unit Guider population per community (i.e. the more Unit Guiders in a community, the more delegate spaces available). Unit Guiders are selected first, but all adults are welcomed and encouraged to submit a request. Those not selected can choose to be wait-listed. Final registration deadline is August 20, 2010

Session Selection for Selected Delegates:
Once selected you will be e-mailed a link to an online session selection/registration form. Sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The final deadline for session selection is August 31, 2010.

Payment Process
Payment for those selected will be due as follows:
$75 deposit by June 30, 2010
$75 balance by August 20, 2010
You may also choose to make full payment upon selection.
Payment can be made online easily by credit card. Cheque or money orders will also be accepted. NSF cheques received will have an administration fee of $25 applied.

Refunds and Cancellation
All cancellations must be in writing to program.admin@guidesontario.org. If you are selected and are not able to attend a refund will be issued up until 30 days from the event start date. After this time no refund will be provided without a doctor’s note or death certificate.

The registration is non-transferrable. If you are unable to attend selection of an alternative delegate will be done from the wait-list. You will be unable to send a person of your choice in your place.

120 tickets are available and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Cost is $75 per person. Deadline to purchase tickets is September 24, 2010 based on availability.

Delegates are responsible for their own transportation.
Free parking is provided at the hotel.
The hotel is accessible by TTC (public transit) with a bus stop at the foot of the driveway of the hotel.

Accommodation for overnight Saturday, October 16, 2010 DINNER only guests.
If you require accommodation due to travel or time restrictions on Saturday evening, the Holiday Inn Toronto International Aiport has provided Girl Guide members with a special rate of $115.95. The only type of accommodation available for Members attending the dinner only is a room with a King bed. The rate is subject to applicable taxes and is based on single or double occupancy. Reservations can be made by calling toll-free to the reservation department at 1-800-574-7965. You must ask for the Girl Guide rate or quote the rate code IPQ6G to receive the special discounted rate.
