Volunteer Opportunity - Property Chair

To all adult members,

Ontario Council is currently seeking applications for the position of Property Chair at 12 Ontario camps as our current dedicated Chairs’ terms are coming to an end. Properties include Ademac, Bonita Glen, Carruthers, Conestogo, Doe Lake, Kah Neh Doh, Ma Kee Wa, Orenda, Teka, TRHAC, Woolsey and Wyoka.

During this three-year appointment, the Chair will lead the Local Property Extreme Specialty Community (LPESC) and work closely with the Ontario Council camping staff team.

If you are energetic, highly organized, a strong administrator and are passionate about camping, this role might be perfect for you.

As Property Chair, you will oversee the day-to-day operations at the property ensuring that safe, clean, and equipped sites await all of our members who book and use the camp. You will also ensure compliance with GGC and applicable legislation, develop budgets and manage expenses in conjunction with the Camping Manager. As the upcoming property closure schedule is finalized, you will likely be involved in supporting some farewell events for the property in addition to working with site staff and contractors to safely and securely close facilities by the appointed date.
