Provincial Cookie Subsidy (PCS)
The Provincial Cookie Subsidy is a program developed by Manitoba Council to promote cookie sales for fundraising and to support people and/or groups who are participating in GGC related travel. The program has been in place for a number of years and we have provided over $10,000 for people and/or groups who have traveled, from as close as Churchill to as far away as Pax Lodge.
In October 2016 the process was once again reviewed by Manitoba Council and the following changes have been made:
- PCS will be available for any people and/or groups who are travelling on any approved group or person travelling on an independent trip, a nationally sponsored trip, a provincially sponsored and/or an interprovincial trip
- People and/or groups will no longer have to complete the request form, payment will be made in June and/or December, after the provincial cookie bill has been paid (approximately mid-month)
The following requirements must be met in order to receive PCS:
- Cookies can only be ordered after SG.8 approval
- Travel cookies must be designated on the cookie order form, at the time of ordering
Money raised through the PCS is subject to the same rules as other fundraising, as per the Fund Development Policy.
